What military ranges add to the evidence
Military training areas are not ordinary pieces of sky. They host fast jets, drones, electronic-warfare exercises, missile testing, airborne sensors, target systems, and classified activities. Pilots operating there are deliberately exposed to unusual situations that civilian aviators rarely encounter.
As a result, observers at training ranges are more likely to see something they cannot immediately identify. A distant drone, a test article, a balloon, a sensor reflection, or an object operating outside expected parameters may all generate a report. Several of the most widely discussed UAP incidents emerged from training environments rather than random encounters. Collection bias and sensor density

This creates a familiar problem in many fields of investigation: the more intensely an area is observed, the more anomalies appear to exist there. A city with hundreds of weather stations will record more unusual atmospheric events than a region with only one sensor, even if the underlying phenomenon is equally common.
The UAP reporting system itself has also evolved. Recent AARO statements continue to describe a concentration of reports around military assets and sensors while also noting that increased reporting from commercial aviation has begun to reduce that apparent concentration. Better sensors can create harder cases
An important paradox is that more sophisticated sensors do not always produce easier identifications.
Modern military systems often detect objects outside normal visual perception. Infrared systems, radar returns, electronic signatures and multi-sensor tracks can reveal targets that are invisible to the naked eye. Yet interpreting those signals may require specialised expertise, and sensor artefacts can sometimes resemble genuine objects. When a cluster becomes a security concern
Not every concentration of reports has the same significance. From a defence perspective, the critical question is whether unidentified objects are entering sensitive operating areas.
