AARO uses ordinary explanations when available evidence supports identification of a known object or phenomenon. These resolutions are not guesses. They are the outcome of a review process that compares witness observations against radar records, infrared imagery, flight data, environmental conditions, satellite information and other contextual sources. The categories appearing most frequently in AARO’s resolved-case statistics are revealing. Why Closure Totals Rise Long After Initial Reports
